CHAOS ON IKORODU ROAD

Soldiers have locked down Ikorodu road because one of them was knocked down from his bike and killed by a BRT bus. The cause of the accident is unknown but from the information we have gather the soldier was driving on the BRT lane.

Immediately news broke of the incident soldiers stopped the BRT buses from moving, entered the buses to drive the passengers out and were beating up the drivers. They called for reinforcement from the barracks and the chaos went to another level. They were beating up passers-by who were trying to take pictures. They came down heavily on one of the BRT drivers and the reports reaching me is that they have killed the guy(unconfirmed). They have started burning the BRT buses down. Police came to the scene to try and cool things down but from what I saw they ran away. As they were running one of the police guy fell from the back of their truck.

I saw the soldier pluck canes from the trees and collect sticks from the women on the road side to use in beating up people.

I was at the scene of the incident but couldn't get a lot of pictures because as I said earlier, the army guys were beating up people who did and smashed their phones and frankly those guys looked very pissed.
